Jaén, capital of early harvest oil

The tasting is one of the main attractions of an event organized once again by the Deputationwith the collaboration of Advice of Andalusia and, on this occasion, of the City Council of Jaén.

“This festival once again makes our province the undisputed reference in the olive sector and confirms that we are not only the main world producers, but also those who produce the highest quality extra virgin olive oil, as evidenced by the large number of cooperatives and oil mills that this weekend will show the first EVOOs that they have just bottled”, estimated the president of the Diputación, Francisco Reyes.

Participants will be able to try and buy 87 extra virgin olive oils of this harvest and also discover products such as cosmetics made from olive oil and handicrafts made from olive wood. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to to take part in a significant number of Activities and proposals related to olive oil and also tourism.

The streets Roldán y Marín and Bernabé Soriano and the Plaza de la Constitución will host most of the proposals that make up the program of this event. It will begin this Saturday at 10 a.m. with a breakfast featuring the first oils people from Jaén present at this event. .
